Seville has winned by a goal tonight against UD Almería in the last matchday of the first league round. The match was played on a bad field conditions by the continuous rains in the day. Sevilla FC started better in the first minutes because the team benefited from the mistakes of the opposing defense. At 9th, a pass to the goalkeeper by a defender of Almeria, is slowed due to a puddle in the penalty area catched by Renato who passed Negredo for scoring the first goal: 1-0. From that moment, Sevilla managed the game knowing it had the advantage and enjoyed a good first half, where he was able to increase its lead after the occasion by  Negredo in the final stages of the first half.


The second half was different, much slower than what was stated in the fatigue and the rate imposed by the adversary. Almería had any occasions before, but failed to penetrate the goal of Palop and the defense has managed at any time, feautring Dragoutinovic (who won´t play against Valencia next week), Escudé and Stankevicius. The last quarter of the match became dangerous with chances for both teams, but Sevilla played against an opponent that was inferior.


After the match, Sevilla will play against Deportivo on the quarterfinals of Copa del Rey thinking the next Sunday match against Valencia, direct competitor in the fight for a Champions League place.
